PEEC 2021: The Conference that Could

PEEC is a conference for undergraduate students, graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, and others to share their research and make connections in a supportive and welcoming environment.

PEEC 2021 will be entirely virtual and will be organized by a team of students from UBC Vancouver. PEEC 2021 take place on February 18-19th, 2021.

PEEC welcomes participants from Western Canada and the United States to attend. The scope of presentations at PEEC is wide with topics ranging from marine, terrestrial, aquatic and aerial species and environments, all under the over-arching theme of ecology and evolution research.

While we are unable to meet in person at Bamfield Marine Sciences Center as we have in past years, we are excited to increase the accessibility of PEEC 2021 by hosting it virtually.

The PEEC planning committee is excited to not only host an amazing line-up of informative talks this year, but PEEC will also include a keynote address from Dr. Dolph Schluter, an interactive workshop focused on building ally skills, plus chances to network/hang out virtually with other participants.
